Back in 1930

Late Shri Gunvantrai T. Kamdar established our first Salt unit at Porbandar in 1930 with the help of his Highness of Porbandar. The 1400 acre unit is still held by our family since then. We produce close to about 80,000 MTs. quality Salt at that unit. At Porbandar, we are located only about 2.5 Kms., from the port which gives us added opportunity for exports.

The tipping point

Our Bhavnagar unit was established in 1943 with effective area of 5000 acres with annual production of about 3,25,000 ton/year. At Bhavnagar we are located next to the port.

The Bhavnagar Salt and Industrial Works Private Limited being extremely quality conscious and working towards achieving Zero rejection policy.

we make sure that every consignment before leaving the Company premises is thoroughly checked to make sure that it meets with the required specification of the buyer.We have already achieved Zero rejection for the last three years and are now focusing on minimum deviation.

• We have installed 2 washery unit of 100 tons per hour And 50 tons per hour respectively which gives us quality of grade1 specification
• We have fully equipped laboratory to taste various parameters of salt in process before delivery and after loading trucks
• Each trucks is cleared before leaving the premises to achieve 0% rejection policy
